About the event
‘Inner Hearing of Island' is an auditory enhancement roving installation in Mui Wo during the festival. Public can experience the pre-recorded environmental sounds of non-human islanders, such as plant, river, and animals, listening to their daily lives. The installation changes the island journey perspective from visual, which general public are familiar with, to hearing, which islanders experience especially at night. Apart from the recordings, a real-time auditory enhancement device will be provided for public to “see” the island with the magnified surrounding sounds, enabling them to share the islanders’ daily experience.
About the artists:
Brian Lee and Eva Leung are passionate about different social-orientated and design projects. They give full play to their strengths, disassemble and change viewpoints and angles in various creative ways, and explore the other side of the city together with others.
